The UltraScape Prem Prime Paving Slurry Primer is a professional-grade bonding slurry designed to create a high-strength bond between paving slabs and the mortar bed. Suitable for porcelain, natural sandstone, limestone, granite and concrete paving, it forms an essential part of a long-lasting paving installation by helping to prevent slabs from lifting or debonding over time.

Easy to mix and apply, Prem Prime is brushed onto the entire underside of each paving slab immediately before laying. Its polymer-modified formulation provides excellent adhesion and is trusted by professional landscapers throughout the UK for both domestic and commercial projects.

Why Use a Slurry Primer?

A slurry primer is one of the most important components of a quality paving installation. Modern porcelain paving has an extremely low water absorption rate, meaning mortar alone cannot create a reliable bond. Applying a slurry primer to the reverse of every slab ensures maximum adhesion between the paving and the mortar bed.

Although particularly important for porcelain paving, we also recommend using slurry primer when laying natural sandstone, limestone and granite to achieve the strongest possible bond and improve the long-term performance of your patio.

Installation Guidance

• Lay paving on a full contact mortar bed.
• Brush UltraScape Prem Prime onto the entire underside of every slab, ensuring 100% coverage from corner to corner.
• Lay the slab immediately onto the fresh mortar bed while the slurry remains wet.
• Follow the manufacturer's installation guidance and allow suitable curing times before trafficking the area.
