Shipping policy

At Paving Central, we aim to make delivery of heavy paving materials as clear and straightforward as possible. Please read the information below carefully before placing your order.


1. Delivery Costs

Delivery costs are calculated and shown before checkout, based on:

  • Delivery postcode

  • Number of pallets

  • Product type

Most UK mainland deliveries are included, however some postcodes incur a small pallet surcharge.


2. Delivery Zones & Surcharges

Below is a guide to our delivery zones. Surcharges shown are per pallet.

Zone 1 – Free Delivery

No delivery surcharge applies to the following postcode areas:

3. Delivery Method

  • All paving products are delivered palletised

  • Standard delivery is via 26-tonne HGV with tail-lift

  • Delivery is kerbside only, at the driver’s discretion

  • Drivers are not insured or permitted to move pallets beyond the kerbside


4. Site Access Requirements

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure suitable access for large delivery vehicles.

Please inform us in advance if there are:

  • Narrow roads or tight lanes

  • Low bridges

  • Weight restrictions

  • Restricted access times

Failure to disclose access restrictions may result in:

  • Failed delivery

  • Additional charges

  • Redelivery or return fees


5. Failed Deliveries, Redelivery & Return Charges

If delivery fails due to access issues, refusal, or customer unavailability, the following charges apply:

Redelivery Charges

  • £70 per pallet minimum

Return Charges (if goods are returned)

  • Zone 1: £70 per pallet

  • Zone 2: £80 per pallet

  • Zone 3: £110 per pallet

These charges will be:

  • Charged directly to the customer or

  • Deducted from any applicable refund


6. Delivery Times & Lead Times

  • Standard delivery: 3–5 working days

  • Customers may select a preferred delivery date at checkout

  • All delivery dates are estimates only

Express Delivery

  • 1–2 working day delivery is available for most postcodes

  • Some areas of Scotland are excluded or subject to longer lead times

👉 We strongly recommend allowing at least 5 additional working days beyond your selected date before scheduling installers or groundwork.


7. Installer Booking Guidance

Do not book installers until your paving has arrived on site and been checked.

Paving Central is not liable for:

  • Installer costs

  • Lost labour

  • Delays to works caused by delivery timing or damages


8. Delivery Day Responsibilities

On the day of delivery:

  • We recommend having someone on site to accept the delivery where possible

  • Goods may be left in a safe place at the driver’s discretion if access allows

If pallets are missing or delivery is incomplete, customers must notify us immediately by phone or email.


9. Inspection & Damage Reporting

  • Customers must inspect goods after delivery has been received

  • Any damage must be reported within 24 hours

  • Up to 10% breakage is considered acceptable due to the nature of paving materials

If higher levels of damage are identified, we recommend accepting the delivery, as replacements can be arranged where applicable.


10. Refused Deliveries

  • Refused deliveries without valid reason will incur redelivery or return charges

  • Charges will be applied as outlined in Section 5


11. Collections

  • Appointment-based collections are available

  • Responsibility for goods passes to the customer once collected

  • No damage claims can be accepted after collection
