Saba Beige porcelain cobbles are designed to complement our Saba Beige Egyptian Limestone Porcelain Paving Slabs 900x600mm. Both products are originally manufactured under the Saba Nude range in Spain.

However, it is important to understand that porcelain products are manufactured in separate production batches.

Although the cobbles and larger paving slabs share the same overall colour design, they are not necessarily manufactured at the same time or from the same production batch.

As a result:

• Slight differences in beige, cream and sandy tones may occur.

• The cobbles may appear slightly lighter or darker than the 900x600mm slabs.

• Differences in surface pattern and natural stone-effect detailing may be visible.

• An exact colour or shade match between the two formats cannot be guaranteed.

These differences are a normal characteristic of separately manufactured porcelain products and do not indicate a manufacturing defect.

We strongly recommend viewing samples of both products before ordering if you intend to use the cobbles alongside the larger Saba Beige paving slabs.

Installation Guidance

For the best results, Saba Beige porcelain cobbles should be installed using a full mortar bed with a suitable slurry primer applied to the reverse of every cobble.

• Install onto a suitable, well-prepared sub-base.

• Use a full contact mortar bed, typically a minimum of 50mm for suitable pedestrian paving applications.

• Apply slurry primer to the entire underside of each cobble, ensuring complete coverage.

• A minimum 5mm joint width is recommended, although the lightly tumbled edges may suit wider joints for a more traditional limestone appearance.

• Check the actual cobble dimensions before installation and maintain suitable joint spacing throughout.

• Use a suitable porcelain-specific grout or jointing compound.

• Incorporate adequate falls, typically around 1:60, to allow effective surface water drainage.

• Mix cobbles from different boxes within the same batch to distribute natural colour and pattern variation.

For areas subject to vehicle traffic, the complete paving construction must be designed and confirmed as suitable for the expected loads.

Correct installation will help achieve a durable, long-lasting finish with the appearance of traditional natural limestone cobbles.

Batching & Future Availability

Porcelain cobbles are manufactured in production batches, and slight variations in colour, shade, pattern and dimensions can occur between batches.

We recommend ordering sufficient material to complete your project in one purchase, including an allowance of approximately 10–15% for cuts and wastage, depending on your layout.

Future availability of an identical production batch cannot be guaranteed.
